
Boxercise is becoming a very popular fitness training method and has been described as having "all of the skills and thrills of boxing but without the contact"
The classes promise an enjoyable and invigorating workout and most of all are a great stress reliever. Classes suit all fitness levels as participants can go at their own pace. It doesnt matter if you have never boxed before as the goal is totally fitness based.
The classes usually start with basic punches, working up to combinations of arm movements. It is mainly an upper body workout with a short ful body circuit training to finish. The result is more definition and tone rather than bulk as boxers are more usually lean than having a lot of bulk.
The classes often use background music but the moves are not choreographed so it is merely there to encourage good tempo to the routines.
